Ipudhou Marjing Expo from Aug 6, casting for Runway Show held

Imphal, July 09 2025:
The "Ipudhou Maning Expo-2025", a domestic exhibition cum trade fair specially catering to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector and local artisans of North East States for the benefits of MSMEs, local artisans and internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Manipur, will be held from August 6 to 10, 2025 at Marjing Polo Tourism Complex, Heingang.
The Ipudhou Marjing Expo, a joint initiative by the CRED (Centre for Research on Environmental Development), Manipur and North East Women Entrepreneurs Association (NEWA), aims to foster cultural exchange, networking, knowledge exchange, and partnerships.
The expo will feature cultural shows, exhibitions, discussions, and interactions to empower local entrepreneurs and artisans.
Handloom & handicrafts, processed food items, leather items, footwears, PM Vishwakarma Trades related products, kouna, bamboo & jute products, textiles & embroidery, jewelleries, crochet items and other products made by IPS will also be showcased at the expo.
Besides, a model casting session for the "Basan Charei Namkhang Runway Show" scheduled to be held on August 9 during the Ipudhou Marjing Expo 2025 was held today at Marjing Polo Tourism Complex.
More than 100 models walked the ramp and showcased their beauty and skills during the session.
40 models were selected for the Runway Show by the juries which included Strela Thounaojam Luwang, 2nd runner up at Femina Miss India 2023; and Kangabam Bijaya Chanu, president, NEWA Manipur Chapter.
Taorem Lekhendra Singh, Secretary, CRED was also present at the event.
