RK Imo sheds light on infrastructure, utility development projects at inaugural ceremony

Imphal, April 09 2025: Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo graced the unveiling of the inaugural plaque of Shree Shree Radha Mandap (Hall) at Sagolband Salam Leikai Mamang Leirak in the presence of RK Jiten Singh, Corporator of Ward No.7, along with other prominent community leaders and residents.

The Mandap (Hall) was constructed under the MLA Local Area Development Fund to address the lack of adequate community spaces in the locality particularly in Salam Leikai Mamang Leirak, said a press release.

During the program, the MLA highlighted various developmental projects currently underway across the constituency.

He also shared updates on several projects that are ready for inauguration, including the G+l Multipurpose Community Hall building at Babupara and the renovated club building at Salam Leikai Maning Leirak, among others.

Touching upon the topic of water resources, the MLA informed the gathering that two Water ATMs, one at Meino Leirak and another at Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai, are now fully ready for inauguration.

Furthermore, he mentioned that a new 50 HP Centrifugal Pump from Kirloskar, procured for the Nepra Menjor Water Reservoir, is all set for installation.

He also stated that pipe leakage issues identified during the trial run of the Tera Water Reservoir have been promptly addressed and repair works have already commenced.

Once commissioned this will greatly improve the overall water supply and ensure better availability for the residents of the area.
