Over 400 people were checked and provided requisite medicines free of cost by the 23 Assam Rifles who organised a free dental camp at Uyumpok, Sagolmang on November 7 and 8, according to a PRO IGAR (S) release.
The camp inaugurated by Commandant 23 AR was thronged by villagers of Pukhao Khabam, Pukhao Ahallup, Khamenlok Kuki, Pukhao Tarapur, Waikhong, Sagolmang, Patlou, H Champhai, T Wakanphai, Uyumpok Pangaltabi, Sansenbam, Happy Valley, Uyumpok, Ishikha Khunou, Wangkhal Khunou, Taretkhul, Yumnam Khunou, Keibi Khullen and Keibi.
Huge gathering of locals encouraged the dental team comprising of Capt, dental doctors from 13 dental units of Assam Rifles and the staff members as well as local civil dentist to work overtime and extend valuable services to the needy, the release said.
Moreover, CSD facilities were also made available to the locals in addition to hosting a feast for meira paibis, it added.
