Imphal, June 07 2023: Many continue to extend relief items to those who have been displaced by the recent outburst of ethnic conflicts in the State.

The Association of Meiteis in America (AMA) and Lions Clubs International jointly extended a monetary aid of Rs 50,000 to the relief camp opened at Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong to help the people taking shelter at the camp.

Apunba Lup Ningthoukhong, the organiser of the camp has expressed its gratitude to the Association of Meiteis in America and Lions Clubs International for the generous donation.

AMA also extended an aid of Rs 50,000 to the relief camp opened at Sanatombi High School, Keirak for the stranded people taking shelter there.

To help the people displaced by the ongoing conflict, Thoubal Sabaltongba Apunba Meira Paibi & Club Organisation today distributed relief materials to shelter camps opened at 8 different places in Thoubal, 6 places in Imphal East and 5 in Imphal West.

The organisation also provided relief materials to about 30 houses in Thoubal Sabaltongba.

Assuring that the organisation will continue to help the people affected by the ongoing conflict, Thoubal Sabaltongba Apunba Meira Paibi & Club Organisation has appealed to the Government to take immediate action to restore peace & normalcy in Manipur.

In continuation of the humanitarian aid provided by Committee on Present Issue of Manipur (COPIM), a 25-member team led by Memchoubi, president Poirei Apunba Leimarol Meira Paibi today extended relief materials to the shelter camps at Kakching Khunou Makha High School, Elangkangpokpi Mayai Leikai Mandop, Langmeidong Hr Sec School Langmeidong, Hiyanglam Girls Junior High School and Wangkhei.

A team of COPIM led by All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) assistant secretary organisation Y Inaocha and O Dilipkumar Meitei, vice president Irabot Foundation Manipur also carried out a free medical camps at Yorabung Primary School, Yorabung Primary Health Centre, Sawombung.

Mayang Imphal AC MLA, Kongkham Robindro today distributed books and toys at the relief camps opened in Laphupat Tera High School and Mayang Imphal Charoipung.

The MLA was accompanied by officials of the Education Department and ZEO Wangoi.

Residents of Telipati also distributed relief materials to the shelter camps opened at Ema Laikhut Lembi Laipung, Khurai Ahongei Leikai by Eastern Education Club (EEC) .

Relief materials were also provided to the relief shelter camps opened at Awang Sekmai Koujengleima High School, Yourabung Primary School, Shree Shree Gouragovind Girls College Khurai by Eastern Motor Transport Co-operative Society Limited.

A team of Institute of Development Studies, Manipur led by Prof N Mohendro SIngh also visited the relief camp opened at Ideal Girl's College, Akampat today and distributed essential items including vegetables and water bottles.
