Imphal, July 05 2024: All the officers and staff of the Department of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur led by Commissioner, M Joy Singh have mourned the sad demise of Dr Kh Sarojini Devi, retired Director of Art & Culture Department in a condolence meeting held on Friday at the Conference Hall of the Directorate in Palace Compound.

The gathering also shared the grief of the bereaved family and observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace, said a release issued by the Department of Art & Culture.

Dr Kh Sarojini passed away on July 2, 2024 .

She had served as Secretary, Manipur State Kala Akademi and also as Director of the Department of Art & Culture, Manipur from March 1, 2004 to October 31, 2010 .

Her immense contribution towards promotion and preservation of Manipur's art and culture would be long remembered by many generations to come.
