Thoubal, June 02 2025: As part of World Environment Day observation, 2025, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Thoubal College in collaboration with Green Audit Committee and Department of Environmental Science organised a college level symposium competition on the theme "Ending Plastic Pollution Globally.

The inaugural of the symposium competition held at the Multipurpose hall of the Thoubal College was attended by Thoubal College Principal Professor, A Nabachandra Singh, Depart ment of English Head, Dr K Tejarani Devi and Thoubal College Teacher's Association, president N Ibobi Singh as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Principal Professor A Nabachandra said that plastics used by the people since 40 to 50 years back are a very useful product.

However, due to improper use of plastics by the people, it has become a major factor for environmental pollution.

To make the people aware of the impacts of plastics to the environment, such a symposium programme was organised today at Thoubal College, said A Nabachandra.
