People know how many outsiders have entered the region after Kangleipak/Manipur and WESEA were annexed by India and now the resulting demographic changes, the growing political threats and the challenges to the indigenous people's identity are now topics of daily discussion among the people, Toijam Ibochouba said in his statement.
He said that the national contradiction between alleged coloniser India and colonised people of Kangleipak/Manipur is becoming clearer and sharper.
One cannot be a true Marxist if he/she does not have a sense of patriotism and one will never understand the underlying principles of socialism without understanding what the national question is, the SOREPA Chairman asserted.
Marxism will thrive in regions where nationalism has strong roots but it will wither in regions where nationalism is neglected, he said.
Ibochouba said, "We need to give an appropriate answer to the national question centred on the ongoing indigenous people's movement for an egalitarian society" .
Once the idea of nationalism is ingrained in the minds of the indigenous people of WESEA, spreading the concept of egalitarian society in the region will not be a difficult task, he said.
By that time, national socialism will be able to take roots in the soil of the region and the seeds of ethno-nationalism sown by narco-terrorists allegedly supported by the Indian capitalist ruling class can be uprooted, the SOREPA Chairman said.
He said that people's social democratic resistance movement will be the bulwark of the revolutionary movement whose primary objective is establishing an independent and socialist society.
People's collective struggle is the most potent weapon of the liberation movement, read the statement issued by the SOREPA Chairman.
All the movements to protect indigenous people, economy, identity, political boundary and protection from narco-terrorism are all parts of the larger liberation movement, it said.
It is imperative to carry on the people's social democratic movement in the right path.
At the same time, the liberation movement needs to devise policies and strategies which are suitable to the soil of the land, read the statement.
The revolutionary armies must be strengthened for the sake of national security, it said.
The SOREPA Chairman has also appealed to the Gen Z to direct their activism toward national liberation and make the powerful tool of artificial intelligence a tool for speeding the revolutionary movement.
Ibochouba appealed to make Gen Z activism, social media and the revolutionary movement a "connective action" .
He said that it's time to take strong measures to check the ever growing number of drug users in Kangleipak/manipur.
Saying that drug manufacturers as well as drug dealers are all rich people, the SOREPA Chairman asserted that there have been several reports of the involvement of MLAs, Ministers, Indian army officers and police officers in drug businesses particularly heroin (No 4) .
It is now a common knowledge how Indian army officers and MLAs/Ministers have been investing in poppy plantations in the hills of southern Manipur for manufacturing drugs, he claimed.
He said that the Indian army and drug cartels have their hands in the communal violence and all these are a part of the policy aimed at annihilating all the indigenous people and consolidate the alleged colonial rule.
Ibochouba said that SOREPA's drive against manufacturing drugs, abusing and selling drugs will be intensified.
