SOREPA Chairman shares thoughts on raising day-II

Imphal, October 01 2024:

Contd from previous issue

Although the statutes and laws of India look quite impressive, but inside there are so many clauses, sections and schedules which divide the people into multiple layers of caste and class, the SOREPA Chairman remarked.

By dividing the people on the basis of community, religions and economic status, the ruling elites have been practising class politics just to secure their seats of power, he said.

Toijam Ibochouba alleged that Indian politics is based on the thoughts of Chanakya which advocates colonisation of independent countries.

Indian Maoists who believe in empowerment of the working class and creation of an egalitarian society have rejected the Indian policy expansionism and they have been waging a revolution against the Indian State, he remarked.

"Rather than supporting any movement or slogan which supports the interest of the Indian Chanakyanists and capitalists, all the communities of Kangleipak/Manipur need to work together to make our Nation-making process a living and continuous one", he said.

At the same time, the revolutionary movement of the Maoists who believe in the Right to Self Determination has been gaining momentum day by day.

The Maoists who have studied and understood the histories of South and South East Asia must take pivotal roles in stopping India"s policy of expansion in these regions, read the statement issued by the SOREPA Chairman.

The Maoists who believe in 'historical and dialectical materialism" must be knowing how India annexed more than 500 independent States of the Indian sub-continent.

The war of expansionism being waged by India with the help of Chin-Kuki mercenaries who have little knowledge of Nation making process to exterminate the indigenous communities of South Asia, South East Asia and WESEA can jeopardise the geopolitics of these regions, Ibochouba alleged before adding that it must be stopped immediately.

Saying that the media contributed immensely in any successful revolution, the SOREPA Chairman paid tributes to all the journalists who died in the line of duty.

Starting from revolutionary leader Hijam Irabot"s 'Meitei Chanu", the media have been taking a big role in keeping the fire of revolution burning in Kangleipak/Manipur till date, it said.

Since early 1970"s, the media started exposing how the Indian rulers and their collaborators looted public money.

The words written on the cover of the journal 'Yukhal Marumda""Athou Licha Heppa, Nakhoigi Maar Khongulbu Ningna Tena Lijarakke" evoked a strong sense of nationalism among the people and gave birth to a new generation of revolutionaries, it said.

With foreign Indian culture including dressing style and food habits making deep inroads into the indigenous culture, journals dedicated to preservation and promotion of indigenous culture, traditions and identity were brought out and they were so powerful in shaping the socio-political orientation of Kangleipak/Manipur, read the statement.

Similar journals and publications which gave impetus and new directions to the revolutionary movement were also brought out in the 1990"s.Newspapers, journals and news channels were quite successful in giving birth to many revolutionary ideas and thoughts.

The media of Kangleipak/Manipur were also quite successful in contradicting the wrong and false reports published by the Indian media and presenting the facts and real picture of Manipur to the whole world, Toijam Ibochouba said and saluted the State"s media.
