MU hosts 'Meet the Leader'

Imphal, January 31 2026: The Global Shapers Community, Imphal Hub, in collaboration with the Dean of Students' Welfare, Manipur University (MU), organised a "Meet the Leader" event at the Commerce Department Conference Hall of Manipur University on January 28.The event, themed "From Participation to Representation: Youth in Policy Shaping", was graced by Prof N Lokendra, Vice-Chancellor, MU; Nongthombam Bankimchandra, member, Global Shapers Imphal Hub; and Prof Ch Ibohal, Dean, Students' Welfare, MU as presidium members.

A thought-provoking panel discussion on "Youth's Role in Shaping the Country's Policies" took centre stage, featuring esteemed panelists Dr Mayengbam Veto, Director of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Manipur; Yumnam Rupachandra, Editor-in-Chief of Impact TV; Asst Prof Longjam Meena, Head In-charge of the Cultural Studies Department, Manipur University of Culture; and Dr Jibon Kumar Sharma from MIMS, MU.

The discussion highlighted the youth's potential in driving change and policy-making.
