Jiribam, August 30 2024:
Highlighting the shortage of non-teaching staff in schools under the Education Department in Jiribam district, Kangleipak Students' Union (KSA) secretary K Somorjit Singh has called for the swift appointment of the necessary staff.
He made the appeal during a press conference jointly organised by four student bodies including KSA, MSF and DESAM at KSA office today.
Addressing the media persons, K Somorjit Singh said that the shortage of non-teaching staff in Jiribam schools has hampered the smooth functioning and administration of the institutions.
Due to this staff shortage, many teachers have reportedly taken on the tasks of the staff.
Thus, he urged the relevant authority to recruit the necessary 36 non-teaching staff and give priority to Jiribam locals in the recruitment.
MSF president S Iringamba Singh and Heisnam Shivraj, finance secretary, DESAM were also present at the press briefing.
