Cheiraoba greetings pour in

Imphal, March 29 2025:
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Th Satyabrata, Patsoi AC MLA Sapam Kunjakeswor and different organisations have conveyed their Cheiraoba and Eid-Ul-Fitr greetings.
The Governor, in his message, said that Cheiraoba 'offers us' the chance to welcome new beginnings, set inspiring resolutions and work collectively towards nurturing peace and harmony in Manipur.
"As we embrace the dawn of the new year, let it be a moment of celebration, reflection and renewed hope for a brighter future", he said.
Praying for the festival to strengthen the bonds of friendship among all communities, Ajay Bhalla urged everyone to reaffirm their dedication to the ideals of unity and love.
Extending Eid greetings, Satyabrata said that this sacred festival which marks the end of the Ramadan month is a time of joy, gratitude and togetherness for the Muslim brothers and sisters.
"May the spirit of Eid-Ul-Fitr inspire us to strengthen our bond of unity of compassion and mutual respect, reflecting the rich diversity that makes Manipur so special," he prayed.
Sapam Kunjakeswor, on the other hand, prayed for the Cheiraoba festival to pave a way for development in Manipur by strengthening the brotherly ties among the communities.
He also greeted the people of the State, especially people of Muslim faith, on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
United Committee Manipur (UCM), Manipur People's Front (MPF), Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF), and Manipur Youth and Students' Union (MYSU) also extended their greetings on the occasions of Cheiraoba and Eid-Ul-Fitr, praying for unity and peace in Manipur.
The All India Tanzeem-e-Insaaf (AITeF), Manipur State Council and Communist Party of India (CPI), Manipur State Council also conveyed best wishes and greetings to the Meitei Pangals, and people of Muslim brethren, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr .
