Imphal, April 27 2026:
Members of the Like Minded Group (LMG), Manipur visited the residence of the late Lingjelthoiba Laishram in Kongba Nongthombam Leikai today to share in the grief of the bereaved family and provide financial assistance.
Lingjelthoiba, the 6-year-old son of Laishram Nanao and Maibam Monika, recently passed away at Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon.
He had been undergoing long-term treatment for Metachromatic Leukodystrophy.
Despite a bone marrow transplant, his condition worsened following brain seizures, leading to his untimely demise.

Speaking at the residence, Ojit Sorokhaibam expressed deep sorrow over the child's passing.
He noted that while the parents had exhausted all resources for their son's treatment, "fate could not be overcome" .
He further highlighted that LMG has been consistently providing aid to those in distress across the State for the past four years, funded by the monthly contributions of Rs 100 from its members.
The family's tragedy is compounded by the fact that the couple's younger son, aged 3, is also currently battling the same medical condition.
LMG members urged the public to join hands in supporting families facing such immense hardships.
