Manipur celebrates academic achievers; HSE toppers, civil service qualifiers feted

Multiple felicitation programmes were held today across Manipur to honour students and civil service exam qualifiers for their academic and competitive exam success.
Extra Edge School honours 34 NEET qualifiers, HSE toppers
Extra Edge School held a grand felicitation ceremony today at the school auditorium to honor its high-achieving students who secured top positions in the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) 2026 conducted by COHSEM and the NEET 2025 .
Extra Edge Foundation chairman Imocha Akham, vice chairman Nongmaithem Nipamacha, and Principal Shadokpam Bimolchand attended as dignitaries.
In HSE 2026, Rajkumar Brunson ranked 4th and Sweety Laishram 7th in the arts stream.
In Science, Dhahista Nongmeikapam ranked 7th, Eirian Laishram 15th, Moirangthem Niru 18th, and Mangalsana Ningthoujam 19th .
The school also honoured MPSC rankers Katrimsha Moningpha (12th), Sarangthem Sharmiza Annoly (31st), and Rajkumar Dayananda Dasu (32nd) .
Thirty-four NEET 2025 qualifiers were also felicitated.
Students received cash prizes, certificates and mementos.
At the event, co-founder A Gopen said producing three top-ten HSE ranks and 34 NEET qualifiers was a "significant milestone" and credited the school's foundation.
He also sought public cooperation to "produce more pillars of the nation" .
Andro MLA felicitates MCS, HSE achievers
Andro AC MLA Thounaojam Shyamkumar hosted a felicitation ceremony today at his residence in Angtha Ngariyan Chingkhong, for successful candidates from his constituency who cleared the Manipur Civil Service Examination 2022 and HSE 2026.The ceremony, organised by Development Organisation Andro Kendra, honoured several young achievers, including Ningthoujam Mangai, 19th in MCS Exam 2022; Nameirakpam Nanaobi, 12th in HSE 2026 Science; and Tyson Laitonjam, 13th in HSE 2026 Science.
The MLA presented financial awards and certificates.
Also present were W Sanaton, president of Development Organisation Andro Kendra; L Dojendra, president of BJP Andro Mandal; K Memmi, president of All Angtha Meira Paibi; Sarangthem Sarat, founder principal of Pioneer Academy; Raghubir Thiyam, founder president of Thambalnu Sahitya Marup cum Library Yairipok; and Indira Laikhuram, vice president of Dhruvatara VLF .
Langthabal MLA honours HSE topper
Langthabal AC MLA Karam Shyam visited several high-achieving students today to offer encouragement and financial support following their recent academic successes.
He met Thoihenba Thongam, 1st in HSE 2026 Commerce, and gave Rs 1 lakh through the Late Karam Biramani Memorial Trust.
He also gave Rs 50,000 each to other position holders in the constituency.
Karam Shyam met MCS 2022 qualifiers Jashalaya Devi Arambam (11th), Rajkumari Sunanda (22nd), and Huidrom Clington (96th) at their homes.
Meitram locality honours MCS ranker
Meitram Awang Leikai residents celebrated Ningombam Athoibi Devi, who secured 27th rank in MCS Exam 2022 .
Members of the local Meira Paibi and Beneficial Club Meitram visited her home with gifts.
Community members said her achievement brought honour to the locality.
LMNL felicitates HSE topper
Lalambung Makhong Nupi Lup (LMNL) felicitated Maibam Yogyata of TG Higher Secondary School for securing 8th position in HSE 2026 Arts.
Held at the LMNL office, the event was jointly organised by women's groups of Takhellambam Leikai, Naosekpam Leikai, Khoirom Leikai, and Mutum Leirak.
Representatives from these groups presented Yogyata with gifts and a cash prize in recognition of her academic achievement.
