Imphal, November 25 2024:
The State Government's order on closing schools in valley districts for another two days, has drawn flak from the Coordinating Committee on Disturbance Free Education Zone Demand, who held it as insensitive and capricious.
In a release, the Committee alleged that the State Government's fickle and insensitive attitude towards the students has posed a grave threat to the academic.
future of the students.
The committee continued that closing schools frequently has severely affected the students, especially those preparing for the upcoming Class X examination conducted by BOSEM and Class XII examination conducted by COHSEM.
The Committee pointed out that on November 24, an order on closing schools for another two days was issued by the Directorate of Education (S) by cancelling the previous order which announced that classes will resume from November 25 .
The committee asserted that issuing two orders on the same day by the Directorate of Education(S) created a lot of confusion and difficulties for the students and management/authorities of schools & colleges.
Furthermore, the committee urged the Government to consider the implications of their actions and review their orders on closing schools to save the future of the youths who are future pillars of the Nation.
