Schools appeal ahead of pre-board exams

The All Manipur Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has appealed to all organisations to not call any bandh, blockade or general strike during the pre-board examinations which is set to begin from December 2.Addressing the media persons at Manipur Press Club today, AMRPSWA president Joy Khuman said that they have been conducting the pre-board examination for students who would be taking HSLC examination (BoSEM) since 2015.Saying that the pre-board examination for the 2024-24 session will be held from December 2 to 13, he appealed to all Government, Government aided and private schools to let their students enrol for the examination (pre-board) so that they can score good marks in the HSLC examination.
He also said that over 15,000 have enrolled for the examination (pre-board).
The Class-X board examination is the first major examination for all the students, Joy continued while appealing to all concerned to not cause any disturbances to the students during the pre-board examination.
Saying that closure of schools and colleges in view of the resurgence of violence has greatly disrupted the academic atmosphere, Joy appealed to the Government to see what can be done to reopen schools and colleges.
