Manipur Sangai Festival 2025 : Applications invited for cultural programmes

Imphal, October 21 2025: Applications with new creative/innovative dance or musical composition based on traditional/classical/folkarts of Manipur are invited from the registered cultural institutions/organisations for showcasing in the Manipur Sangai Festival 2025 .

As per a release issued by K Dinamani Singh, Director, Art & Culture, Manipur and convenor of Cultural Subcommittee Manipur Sangai Festival 2025, while submitting their application, registered cultural institutions/organisations should enclosed detailed profile & postal address of the institution/organisation with contact number of the president/secretary on the LetterHead with seal.

The application should also include synopsis/concept note of the proposed item; and high quality performance recorded on pen-drive of the proposed item (only 1 item from an institution) .

The performance should be of 10-12 minutes duration.

Application should be addressed to the Director, Art & Culture, Manipur, Palace Compound, Imphal to reach on or before 2 pm of October 28 .

No application will be accepted after this date.

A committee will conduct screening of the proposal and shortlist the cultural institution/organisation.

The decision of the Committee will be final.

Notably, tribal cultural institutions/organisations may contact the Director (TA & Hills), Manipur for participating in Manipur Sangai Festival.

Moreover, Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) has also invited applications for Folk and Traditional Dance & Music from registered cultural organisations for showcasing in the Day Time Cultural Programme of Manipur Sangai Festival, 2025 .

As per a release issued by MSKA, cultural organisations should enclose its detailed profile, synopsis of the proposed item and high quality performance videos (10-12 minutes) on pendrive in their application.

Application should be submitted on or before October 29 addressed to the Secretary, Manipur State Kala Akademi, Khuman Lampak, Imphal.
