World Entrepreneurship Day observed at DM University

Imphal, August 21 2026: The Dhanamanjuri University Campus Recruitment & Placement Cell and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, DM College of Commerce, observed World Entrepreneurship Day on Friday at the DM College of Commerce hall.

Prof W Chandbabu, Vice Chancellor of DM University, attended as chief guest.

Prof N Joyenti, Dean, School of Business Studies, DM University, presided over the function.

Prof Kh Rajen, Principal, DM College of Commerce; Prof S Lanchenba Meitei, Principal, DM College of Arts and Dean, School of Humanities; and Salle Asuli Pao, Deputy Director, State Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Manipur, attended as guests of honour.

The event featured the presentation of the Excellence Entrepreneurship Awards to entrepreneurs from different fields in recognition of their contributions.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Debala, Associate Professor, DM College of Commerce, said the programme was organised to honour the State's entrepreneurs and to inspire students, faculty and the public.

She noted that an entrepreneur is a creative mind who takes risks and introduces new ideas distinct from others.

She added that sharing the struggles and success stories of entrepreneurs would motivate students to pursue innovation and creativity.
