5-day "Cultural Festival cum Exhibition" concludes

The 5-day Cultural Festival cum Exhibition organised by Panthoibi Thang-Ta & Jagoi Sindam Shanglen, Moirangkhunou under the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India concluded today at the auditorium hall of Panthoibi Thang-Ta & Jagoi Sindam Shanglen.
The 5-day cultural festival cum exhibition which began from February 16 was organised with the aim to promote various cultures of Manipur including traditional dances, songs and others.
The closing event was attended by Laishram Rajen, Guru and principal of Panthoibi Thang-Ta & Jagoi Sindam Shanglen, Social Worker, Oinam Budhichandra and Lairenmayum Shyamjai as presidium members.
The cultural festival cum exhibition which began from February 16 was participated by 7 cultural troupe from Bishnupur, Moirang, Moirangkhunou, Thangalawai and Kumbi and demonstrated various art forms like folk song, folk dance, classical dance, Thang-Ta, Pung cholom, pena sheishak and various other indigenous dance forms.
At the closing event, Krishna Vandana, Thang-Ta, pena, and Kabui dance were showcased and mesmerized the gathering.
Speaking at the event, Guru Laishram Rajen stated that the Cultural Festival cum Exhibition was organised with the objective to promote and preserve the tradition, folk dances, folk songs, and culture of various indigenous communities of the State so as to make the youth of the State free from drugs and improve their morality.
