Imphal, December 19 2025:
A 2-Day National Seminar on "Reimagining the Future of Education: Interplay of Human Relations, Institutional Frameworks, and Technological Advancements" began today at the auditorium of the Dhanamanjuri College of Arts, Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal.
The seminar was organised by the Department of Education, Dhanamanjuri University.
The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including Prof Wahengbam Chandbabu Singh, Vice Chancellor, DM University; Dr Divyajyoti Mahanta, Chairperson, Eastern Regional Committee, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi; Prof Sagolsem Lanchenba Meetei, Principal, DM College of Arts; and Prof Keithellakpam Indramani Singh, Dean, School of Social Sciences, DM University.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Divyajyoti said that science & technology has been pivotal in shaping the modem world, driving progress across various sectors, from healthcare to communication and transportation.
"The impact on education has been profound, changing not only how knowledge is delivered but also how it is accessed and consumed", said Dr Divyajyoti while expressing concern about the possibility of artificial intelligence (AI) replacing human teachers and education becoming overly dependent on technology.
"While AI can supplement education with vast information and interactive tools, the nuanced teaching of ancient systems, human values, and complex relationships fundamentally relies on the unique empathy, life experience, and personal interaction that only human educators can provide", added Dr Divyajyoti.
As part of the event, a souvenir of the seminar was also released by the dignitaries.
