Imphal, May 15 2022: The Zeliangrong Union (AMN) has condoled the untimely demise of AK Lungalang, member of collective leadership of NSCN (IM) on May 13 at Eden Hospital in Dimapur, Nagaland.

In a release, ZU (AMN) stated that the union along with its frontal organisations, Zeliangrong Women Union, Kabui Mother's Association Manipur (KAMA), Zeliangrong Football Association (ZFA), Zeliangrong Elder's Forum for Peace Broker (Chagot Phom) and the Zeliangrong people are shocked to learn of the demise of AK Lungalang.

"He was a dedicated and farsighted leader of the Zeliangrong people inhabiting in the three states of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland", it added.

The Union also stated a condolence meeting was held on Sunday at ZU Head Office, Imphal to show their love and respect to the departed leader.

A two minute silence was also observed.

The meeting was presided by Azang Rongmei, president ZU (AMN) .

The ZU (AMN) and all its frontal organisations also extended their hearfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that the departed may rest in peace.
