Sharda confident "BJP will form Govt"

Imphal, September 14 2026: In a bold and confident assertion, Rajya Sabha MP A Sharda Devi has said that no party other than the BJP would be able to form the Government after the 13th State Legislative Assembly election.

She made the statement during a felicitation ceremony held at Thambal Shanglen today for people from Pangei in Khundrakpam who recently joined the BJP .

Addressing the function, Sharda said that the BJP would secure a decisive victory in the upcoming election and form the Government again with its coalition partners.

Sharda, who is also the president of the BJP's Manipur unit, claimed that the condition of Manipur was distressing during the Congress regime, which was marked by fake encounters, people fearing to venture outside their homes and poor infrastructure.

Claiming that Manipur has witnessed development in various sectors since the BJP came to power at the Centre and in the State, she appealed to the people to support the saffron party.

She also stated that the BJP Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had taken various measures to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, including the production of vaccines.

The ceremony was also attended by MLA Th Basanta Kumar, BJP Manipur general secretaries P Premananda Meitei and K Saratkumar and vice presidents Oinam Lukhoi and N Nimbus among others.
