Spot inquiry at power sub stations before Aug 18: Noney DC assures CSO leaders

In response to the ultimatum served by the Villages Council Longmai Area concerning erratic power supply in Noney, Deputy Commissioner, Noney has assured CSO leaders that a spot inquiry to inspect the outdated and substandard machineries of 33KV power sub-station and 11KV power sub-station at Longmai Noney Bazar will be conducted before the set deadline of August 18 .
In this connection, Dr Sharath Chandra Arroju, IAS, DC Noney and a team of the Noney District Administration with the Longmai, Noney area CSO leaders held a serious meeting today at Longmai Bazar Board Office.
During the meeting, the Noney DC had a phone conversation with the Power Commissioner and conveyed that the concerned representatives of the MSPCL/MSPDCL, with the knowledge of the Power Minister and the local MLA, will conduct the spot enquiry before August 18.After assessing the problems at the sub-stations, a discussion will be held to bring an amicable solution to the matter, he added.
The meeting concluded peacefully.
However, if the concerned department fails to act on their assurances, intense agitations will be launched from August 19 in Noney district, the CSO leaders cautioned.
