Cleanliness Drive at Senapati

Imphal, March 13 2021: With the ongoing of 4 year celebration of citizen centric governance, the District Administration of Senapati has successfully conducted a workshop on Rozgar Diwas/ Skilling & Employment at the Multi- Purpose Hall, DC Complex today.

Speaking on the occasion, Th.Kirankumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati stated that government has taken up various schemes of employment for the welfare of citizen in different sector.

He said that training and skilling is the most important key for an individual.

He said that the training institutes present in the district should registered to the National Skill Development Council so that certificate received from those training centres will enabled ones experience when he/she applied for employment in different places.

He also said that training should go according to demand and supply along with the certificate so that the economy also grow.

He further stated that the government is concerned on water and tree plantation.

He encourages every member present in today's workshop to plant more trees and make sure the planted trees grow so that the forest we used for our livelihood are compensated.

He also applauded the government for making easy interaction with the people.

No bandh and blockades news have not been heard, he added.

Santosh Chandra, Additional Director, NIELIT on his speech stated NIELIT which is the backbone of Senapati in providing IT and electronic related training was established on 10th July 2013.Earlier NIELIT location was at the school premises in Angkalongdi but now shifted to Old District Hospital Campus on 28th October, 2020 .

He mentioned that the NIELIT has trained about 5400 in Senapati district.

Under the sponsored programme of Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana in 2018, 30 student were trained in setting up small scale industries.

Out of which, 8 student manufactured LED bulb called as LED Senapati.

The LED Senapati was later launched by Losii Dikho, Minister PHED, Printing & Stationery, he added.

The LED bulb produced by NIELIT student was applauded by CM and MOS, Government of India and in addition, financial aid was also given.

Manufacturing of LED bulb has ceased due to covid pandemic and shortage of financial need.

However, manufacturing will began soon, he added.

He further said that the DC, Senapati has recommended to sponsored a course under 2 traits of RPL for 60 students under NIELIT.

PP Ronald, MCS, SDO, Purul in today's workshop stated the present government is government working for a change with a missionary zeal to bring all round socio- economic development and the progress both in the hills and valleys.

He also stated that changes have been seen in term of no blockades and bandhs with peaceful environment thus minimizing the gaps between the hills and valleys as in the past.

He mentioned that Senapati district is the first district among the district in the state to be declared as the Open Defecation Free under Swatch Bharat Mission on 27th March, 2018 .

Unlike the past years, the district is fully connected with electricity and its people are enjoying uninterrupted 24x7 power supply, he added.

He also mentioned that the project of supplying portable water from Barak River to district HQs areas is on the verge of completing.

He said that under the Go to Hills mission, two cabinets sitting at the district HQ had been held, i.e on 16th April, 2018 and the recent was on 9th December, 2020 .

On the second cabinet meeting, the government had inaugurated many projects- such as Transit Hostel for Doctors/ Teachers; Trauma centre and Blood bank Centre; full fledge Hr.

Government School at Katomei village and 15kms approached road to Dziiko base camp.

With the launching of Go to Village mission on 1st May 2018 at the district, a door steps services were made available to the far flung villages in the district, he added.

He further said that during the pandemic situations, the government could bring back 5000 passengers to Senapati district where there were given free lodging and fooding with free transportation and medical assistance.

Under the covid vaccinations drivea, 6161 people have registered out of which 2685 are vaccinated till date.

He further mentioned on the infrastructural developments taken by the government in the last four years.

Such as black topping of NH-2 from Mao- Koubru Laikhai, Overhead foot bridge at District HQ, Apfii Saleki (Women Market), Multi- Purpose indoor stadium at Rikhumai Taphou consisting of 12 badminton courts with maple woods and Sports gallery at Mini Stadium.

He also said that the government being an action oriented, the landslide at Khongnem Thana was able stabilised within a week with the support of District Administration and various CSO's and the Dziiko fire incident was also put to end after huge effort from Natural Disaster Response Team, DFO and the CSOs.

He said DDU- GYK diversified the incomes of the rural youth and cater occupational aspirations on the youth.

The programme focus on skilling rural youth with the duration of 3 months or more is initiated by Ministry of Rural Development, GOI, and implemented by State Skills Mission of Manipur under RD and PR, GOM, he added.

In his speech, he mentioned salient features of DDU- GYK, Candidates entitlement, facilities to be enjoyed by the candidates and obligation to be made by candidates.

Lastly, he mentioned any candidates willing candidates may contact him or log in to www.kaushalpanjee.nic.in .

In today's programme, 20 forms from NIELIT were handed out to the student.

The workshop was attended by DLO's, village leaders and students from various schools and colleges.
