Chandel, April 09 2025: The Deputy Commissioner of Chandel, L Nandakumar today launched the 7th edition of Poshan Pakhwada , a 15-day awareness campaign on maternal and child nutrition, scheduled from April 8 to 22 .

The launching event held at the Conference Hall of DC Office, Chandel was jointly organised by District Administration Chandel and ICDS Cell, Chandel.

The campaign will focus on "First 1000 Days of Life," addressing key issues such as malnutrition, obesity and hygiene.

Speaking in this connection, ICDS Chandel, CDPO Ahanthem Neemi emphasized the significance of the fortnight-long initiative.

She highlighted key thematic areas of this year's campaign, including the importance of the first 1,000 days of life, effective use of the Benefi-ciary/Citizen Module of Poshan tracker, management of Malnutrition through CMAM and encouraging healthy lifestyle practices to combat childhood obesity.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner Chandel urged officials and staff of Health, Education, Police and Anganwadi workers to work in coordination to make the campaign a success.
