Imphal, October 07 2026: As part of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas observance, the Office of the Superintendent of Police (Prosecution) and Malom Megha High School jointly organised the Annual Sports Meet of the school on Tuesday.

Additional Director (Hills), Education (S), Manglem Dangmei attended as chief guest.

He said the meet, organised in connection with the birth anniversary of Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, will help students develop sportsmanship and guide them on the right path.

He said sports not only promotes affection among communities but also strengthens unity.

Defeat or victory in games is natural, but it should inculcate spirit to strive harder, he added.

ZEO Wangoi Arambam Anilkumar said Malom Megha High School is one of the top performing Government schools in Imphal West and a face of the Department.

Organising annual sports meet every year will help produce disciplined citizens and build a drug-free society, he said.

Headmistress Ch Damayanti highlighted shortage of teachers and urged for construction of an Indoor Hall in the school premises.
