DC Jiribam chairs preparatory meeting for Independence Day celebration

Jiribam, August 07 2025: Deputy Commissioner Jiribam, Krishna Kumar, on Thursday chaired a preparatory meeting for the Independence Day celebration, 2025 alongside a District Level Officers' meeting to review the schemes/programmes undertaken by various line departments in Jiribam District at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Jiribam.

The meeting aimed to discuss activities, roles and responsibilities to be undertaken under the leadership of respective line departments for the 79th Independence Day celebration, 2025 and reviewed the implementation of various schemes, programmes and projects in the district.

During the meeting Krishna Kumar instructed all the DLOs to erect nicely decorated banners showcasing themes of the respective departments to convey the message of the schemes/programmes taken up in the District to the general public and ensure maximum participation by their staff in the Independence Day celebration.

During the meeting, Mobilization of resources by the respective departments and exploration of contingents for the successful celebration of 79th Independence Day in the district were also discussed.

The DC also instructed all the DLOs to host tricolour in their respective office buildings as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign and share photos of the activities undertaken by the respective departments in connection with the same for uploading in the portal.

Meanwhile, DC Jiribam today inaugurated a Tiranga Rakhi Making Competition for the children of child care institutions as a part of the observance of 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign at the Conference Hall of DC Office, Jiribam.

The competition was organised by the District Administration, Jiribam in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit, Jiribam under Department of Social Welfare Government of Manipur.

12 children from 2 Child Care Institutions participated in the Rakhi Making Competition.

The position holders of the competition will be awarded on the occasion of Independence Day Celebration, 2025 .
