AT endorses RN Ravi's view on illegal immigration

Imphal, September 01 2025: Arambai Tenggol has endorsed the statement made by RN Ravi, Governor Tamil Nadu which highlighted the gravity of infiltration of illegal immigration into the North Eastern States.

The Governor had pointed out that "the infiltration of illegal immigrants is not just a case of people seeking a better life and economic opportunities, but rather a strategic move aimed at creating another partition of India", according to a press release issued by Arambai Tenggol.

Expressing appreciation for the Tamil Nadu Governor's statement, AT maintained that the Manipur crisis is a direct result of this influx of illegal immigrants.

Calling for an effective and robust mechanism to curb this issue before it escalates any further, AT demanded implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the State and highlighted the importance of having stricter border fencing measures.

Saying that the Tamil Nadu Governor's statement is a wake-up call for the Government and the citizens alike, AT has urged the authorities to take necessary measures to curb this "menace" .
