Argument hearing regarding the death of Sapam Robinhood in police action during a pro-ILPS stir on July 8 last year was held before Justice Mutum Binoykumar Inquiry Commission at State Guest House today.
The hearing began at 11 am and continued till 1.30 pm.
Victim's counsel submitted his arguments with reference to the points mentioned in the affidavits submitted by the police, Executive Magistrate and doctors.
Victim counsel told the Commission that police fired tear gas shells without taking the permission of the Executive Magistrate.
Submission of the victim's counsel will continue tomorrow.
Counsels of police and Commission will also submit their arguments before the Commission later.
It may be mentioned that (Retired) Justice Mutum Binoykumar Inquiry Commission was constituted on August 1 last year to probe the circumstances leading to the death of Sapam Robinhood.
The first sitting of the Commission was held on October 5 last year.
12 police witnesses, five Commission witnesses and 13 witnesses from the side of the victim have deposed before the Commission so far.
After the end of the recording of statements of the witnesses, the Commission conducted a spot enquiry on January 22 .
