UDYAM registration drive held at Kasom Khullen village

Ukhrul, November 29 2025: A one-day UDYAM registration drive cum awareness programme was conducted at Kasom Khullen Community Hall under Kasom block, Kamjong district, aiming to encourage individuals to take up business activities and benefit from various government support schemes.

The event was attended by Wungwung Shanglai, headman of Kasom Khullen village, as the chief guest.

Ningnimla Shimphrui, Women Chairperson, and Thuisoring Chithung, president of Kasom Khullen Youth Club, were also present as presidium members.

Resource person Themreiyo T Awungshi, General Manager of DIC-Ukhrul & Kamjong, highlighted the importance of UDYAM registration for availing government schemes, subsidised interest rates, priority sector lending, credit guarantees, and other financial benefits.

He emphasised that UDYAM registration is mandatory for individuals seeking government financial assistance for business vendors.

Dr Mathukmi, Coordinator, MSRLM, Ukhrul, stressed the role of UDYAM certification in securing bank loans and promoting rural entrepreneurship to strengthen the local economy.

During the drive, on-the-spot UDYAM registration was completed for 60 individuals, while the chief guest distributed UDYAM certificates to 10 participants.
