PM to interact with scheme beneficiaries at 'Gareeb Kalyan Sammelan'

Tnp/Spi/Kmj, May 29 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be interacting with the beneficiaries of many schemes/programmes in an event named "Garib Kalyan Sammelan", spanning nine Ministries/Departments of the Government of India on May 31 in connection with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Kamjong, Senapati and Chandel districts of Manipur will also be a part of this national level Sammelan.

The national level Sammelan will be held at Shimla on May 31 wherein the Prime Minister will directly interact with the beneficiaries through video conferencing.

He will also release the 11th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi.

At Kamjong, the Sammelan will be be held at Town Hall, Kamjong district HQ from 9:45am onwards on May 31 .

The event will be presided over by Khasim Vashum, Minister (AH & Veterinary/Transport), Manipur and also attended by dignitaries such as Leishiyo Keishing, MLA-43 Phungyar (ST) AC, District Level Officers, representatives from various civil society organisations, village chiefs, headmen, local leaders etc.

At Senapati, the programme will be held at Multi-purpose Hall in Mini Secretariat at Senapati District Headquarters from 9 am onwards.

The event will be presided over by L Susindro Meitei, Minister (PHED ,CAF & PD) and other MLAs of Senapati district, caretaker Chairman of ADC, MDCs, DLOs, CSOs leaders, village chairman-secretaries and other dignitaries.

At Tengnoupal, the event will be held at Tengnoupal Village Community Hall, Tengnoupal village from 9:20 am onwards.

Dr Sapam Ranjan, Minister Medical, Health & Family Welfare and IPR will preside the event and dignitaries and officials of the district will also be present during the interaction programme.

All three district level events will be linked with the National event at 11:00 am when the PM will go live from Shimla and interact with the beneficiaries throughout the country.

The principal objective of the interaction is not only to understand how these schemes have brought about ease of living for citizens, but also to explore possibility of convergence and saturation.

The interaction will revolve around the following schemes/programmes: (i) Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (both Grameen & Urban), (ii) Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, (iii) Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, (iv) POSHAN Abhiyan, (v) Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, (vi) Swachh Bharat Mission (both Grameen & Urban), (vii) Jal Jeevan Mission & AMRUT, (viii) Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Scheme, (ix) One Nation One Ration Card, (x) Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, (xi) Ayushman Bharat PM Jan ArogyaYojana, (xii) Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre, (xiii) Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana.

The national Sammelan will be telecast live through Doordarshan in its national and regional channels.

Provisions have also been made to webcast the national programme through MyGov for which people need to register themselves.

It can also be viewed through other social media channels such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.

It is expected that this interaction will not only highlight people-centric approach of these schemes leading to ease of living of citizens but will also enlighten the Government on the aspirations of the people and ensure that no one is left behind in the nation's march to progress.
