Imphal, January 28 2026:
The Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK) has called upon all sections of the society to support and join the "Save Manipur Rally" scheduled for January 31, 2026 .
Manipur, which once existed as an independent Asiatic power with its own well-defined territory has now fallen into a state of anarchy because of the Government of India's policies, CCSK alleged in a statement.
The Government of India has been following several policies of forceful assimilation, accommodation of surplus population, illegal immigration, captive market, extraction of natural resources and militarization, it said.
By promoting ethnic politics, the Government of India has been spewing venom with an objective to fragment Manipur, it said.
Thus the collective voice of the people has been subdued, giving rise to internal contradictions.
These internal contradictions have grown over the years and as a result, communal polarisation has reached the limit, CCSK said.
Manipur is now passing through a very critical phase and it is facing several formidable challenges.
It's time for all the indigenous communities to unite and overcome these challenges collectively, it said.
CCSK and all associated organisations, particularly UNACSU, AMYPCO, KaPFA, KaKIL, CHITUWA, WWOK, NILAK, KWWA, SUK and UCSCK will support the Save Manipur Rally heart and soul which is being organised by COCOMI on January 31 in order to send a loud and clear message to the Government of India that no divisive or communal policy will be tolerated.
CCSK has also appealed to all communities and people from all walks of life to join and support the rally.
