Two SP capsule abusers reportedly involved in stealing TV set, DVD player and clothes from a video parlour located near Lilong-Arapti bridge have been pulled up by AMADA volunteers along with the stolen goods.
The two accused are identified as Md Momin alias Tomba Nongyaimayum (22) of Lilong Tairen Makhong and Md Salatur Rehman (23) of Lilong Litan Makhong.
Parading the duo before media persons today at AMADA head office, president of AMADA Lilong Local Council Kh Liyaqat Ali said that Md Momin stole a TV set and a DVD player from the Video Parlour run by one Khongbantabam Somendro on December 23.On questioning, Md Momin disclosed that he stole the electronic goods in collusion with Md Khambi Nongyaimayum (22), Md Sakir Nongyaimayum of Lilong Tairen Makhong, Md Sahid Ahmad (35) and Md Zakir alias Roti of Lilong Makha Leikai, conveyed Liyaqat.
He further disclosed that they were involved in several cases of theft earlier including stealing of LPG cylinder from Lilong Haoreibi, battery from Lilong Bazar, a teak sofa set from Lilong Turel Ahanbi and a bicycle from near Upakthong.
Warning all the accused in the theft cases to give in to AMADA head office within December 30, Liyaqat said that both Momin and Salatur will be handed over to their respective families after penalising them in accordance to the rules of AMADA.
The TV set recovered from Md Momin will also be handed over to its owner, he added.
