Imphal, October 27 2024: Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh on Sunday inaugurated a new G+2 multipurpose building at the Lainingthou Khamlangba premises, constructed under the development schemes of the State Government at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore (inclusive of all taxes) .

According to a release issued by the office of the MLA 11-Sagolband AC, the building is designed to serve multiple community needs where the ground floor is allocated for the Lainingthou Khamlangba Thougal Lup, the first floor for the Lainingthou Khamlangba Youth Club, and the second floor for Sagolband United.

Notably, the Sagolband United Club building at Tera has also been completed and is ready for inauguration, providing a facility to house the players of SUFC.

Speaking on the occasion, RK Imo Singh highlighted ongoing developmental initiatives across the constituency.

He mentioned that several key projects, including an Urban Primary Health Centre, are scheduled for inauguration, with a target completion by March 2025 .

The MLA also urged local committee members to focus on assisting economically underprivileged families who are unable to build a house or were left out of the Government's low-cost housing scheme due to delays in applications.

He assured that under this initiative, approximately 35 houses would be constructed, one in each polling, at an estimated cost of around Rs.2.5 to 3 lakhs per house for the poorest of the poor, irrespective of any political affiliation.

"Of these, construction of five houses has already started", he added.

RK Imo also shared that repairing of roads, including Moirang Leirak, which has been damaged by continuous rain and floods, will be undertaken after the rainy season.

"Our target is to provide the best facilities to the people.

We have strived to implement large-scale developments in the areas of power, roads, and water and will continue to do so", he added.
