KnK Foundation observes 2nd foundation day at Keibul Lamjao

Komol and Kumari (KnK) Foundation observed its second foundation day in a ceremony held at Keibul Lamjao Mayai Leikai today.
The Foundation was established in 2022.The event was kicked off with the offering of floral tributes on the photos of Late Komol and Kumari.
Notable dignitaries present at the function include H Chaoba, retd Headmaster, Keibul Primary School; N Ibochouba, retd HOD Physics Department, Imphal College and L Birbabu, retd Additional SP as the presidium members.
As a part of today's ceremony, winners of the recitation contest held at the literary meet organised by KnK Foundation presented their poems before the gathering.
Addressing the gathering, N Uttamkumar Singh, chairman, KnK Foundation, shared that the Foundation was established in consideration of the inequality in terms of education, wealth and almost every sector in Thanga AC.
He added that the Foundation aims to steer youth away from drug abuse, engage them in pursuits of education, sports, maintenance of good health and improve their financial condition to upgrade the overall economy of Thanga AC.
Till date, KnK Foundation has conducted free coaching classes, formed clubs and produced sportspersons and worked towards the general welfare of farmers and fisher folks, he maintained.
KnK Foundation is also currently consulting companies from outside the State to introduce technology among the farmers to improve their crop yield.
Chairman N Uttamkumar also urged the gathering to be aware of their human rights.
He further sought the support of the public to help KnK Foundation bring improvements in Thanga Assembly Constituency to produce excellent students, welfare for farmers and fisher folks, improve the economy, create a health conscious society and bring general developments across all fields.
