Imphal, July 26: Manipur University Research Club (MURC) organised a two-day seminar on the present scenario of medicinal plants in Manipur with particular reference to anti-cancer plants on July 24 and 15 at Senate Hall of the University.

The seminar recommended to establish an R and D Institute for natural products of the region with particular reference to Manipur.

It was also recommended for bio-diversity mapping, identifying and analysis of promising medicinal plants and also to establish a Bio-diversity Park and Herbal Garden in Manipur University.

The seminar also commented for creation of digital database of medicinal plants and other plants of economic importance.

AR aid: 34 AR of 9 Sector under Hqs IG AR (S) donated aid in the form of rations such as rice, atta, dal, sugar, salt, refined oil and tea besides sweets to the children of Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi Kakching today, conveyed an AR PRO release.
