KCMPWC sets deadline for resumption of incomplete PMGSY road work

Drawing the attention of the State Government, the Karam Chingshang Mating People's Welfare's Committee (KCMPWC) has set a 30 day ultimatum to construction agency M/S Mingyao Ruivanao to resume the incomplete PMGSY road construction from Rilram Centre to Sairel Saichin.

A statement issued by Marem Kumar, general secretary, KCMPWC has reminded Government special contractor M/S Mingyao Ruivanao of the legal consequences if the demand is not complied within the given timeframe and further urged the related department to initiate immediate necessary action against the contractor and concerned party for failing to comply with the guideline as per approved norms and timeframe.
The statement informed that the PMGSY road package was awarded to M/S Mingyao Ruivanao with a tender amount Rs 835.20 lakhs.
Stating that 22 months have passed since the work has been put on hold, it further informed that the construction work has lapsed and maintenance work is due to expire in 2024 .
KCMPWC also accused unknown persons suspected to be the contractor of allegedly taking away a truckload of bitumen barrels from the work site on May 24, 2024 which was kept for black topping purposes.
Accusing the construction agency and the concerned department of lacking sincerity and displaying apathy to the people's struggle due to lack of proper road connectivity, KCMPWC has appealed to the relevant higher authority to redress such grievances of inter village transportation.
