Chandel, August 23 2024: The Anal Naga Tangpi (ANTA) has urged the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Manipur to revoke its August 22 order which notified that Dr PS Shangreihow, Medical Officer (Gynaecology), District Hospital Chandel will be temporarily utilized at CHC Jiribam for three months.

A press release issued by TS Larni, general secretary, ANTA has stated that doctors and specialist doctors are not sufficiently available at Chandel District Hospital and as a result the order has angered the people of the district.

ANTA pointed out that even in the past, local specialist doctors, general doctors and nurses were transferred from the hospital to other districts without giving due importance to Chandel district health care sector.

Demanding revocation of the order, ANTA has urged the concerned authority to immediately reinstate local doctors and nurses transferred from District Hospital Chandel.
