Pherzawl observes World Hypertension Day

Imphal, May 23 2025: District Health Society, Pherzawl, observed World Hypertension Day on Friday at PMS Junior High School, Pherzawl, during which dignitaries present highlighted the primary causes of hypertension and urged attendees to adopt healthier dietary practices.

Along with stressing the importance of regular physical activity as a means to maintain overall well-being and announcing that the ongoing hypertension screening campaign will continue until June 16, they also called upon the health department officials and frontline workers to execute the programme diligently to ensure its effectiveness.

The observance included a walkathon participated by students and teachers from PMS School and Pherzawl Government High School, among others.

Meanwhile, a felicitation ceremony was organised at Parbung Higher Secondary School to honour 28 students from government schools in the district who passed the HSLC Examination 2025 .
