MSKA Secretary, others call on Governor

Imphal, January 23 2025:
Sunanda Thokchom, Secretary, Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) along with two others called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan in Imphal today.
According to a release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan, Sunanda Thokchom briefed the Governor on the activities taken up by MSKA to nurture the rich cultural heritage of Manipur.
She also informed the Governor about the MSKA Annual Award distribution and requested him for his convenient date for the ceremony.
Moreover, representatives of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch led by its vice president Dr RK Nimai Singh also called on the Governor this evening.
They apprised the Governor about the various humanitarian activities taken up by IRCS in Manipur, including distribution of relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in various relief camps, both in the hills and the valley.
They continued that health camps have been conducted to provide psychological support to the IDPs.
Blood donation camps have also been conducted regularly in collaboration with various medical institutions.
Highlighting their grievances arising out of shortage of funds, representatives of IRCS Manipur State Branch requested the Governor to support the organisation in this regard.
The Governor appreciated the work done by the organisation and assured to extend his support.
