YKYL organises CSC awareness programme

Imphal, November 22 2025:
Yaiskul Kendra Yaipha Lup (YKYL) organised an Awareness Programme on the CSC Portal along with a Song Release Function today at Wangkhei Community Hall, Puja Lampak, attended by more than 300 participants.
The event was graced by Meghachandra Kongbam, former Director, DIPR; Bishorjit Thangjam, CSC State In-charge, Manipur; RK Birendrajit Singh, music director; and Phanjoubam Modhuchandra Singh, advisor, YKYL as presidium members.
Th Ranjana Devi, CSC District Manager, Imphal East also attended the programme as a resource person.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial candle, followed by a welcome and keynote address by YKYL general secretary Aribam Rishikanta Sharma.
A major highlight of the event was the emphasis on the importance of Common Service Centres (CSCs), which act as crucial access points for delivering digital services, Government schemes, financial inclusion initiatives, utility payments, and various citizen-centric facilities under the Digital India programme.
CSCs help bridge the digital divide, especially in rural and underserved communities, and create local employment through Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) .
The programme also featured the release of two new songs produced and written by Hareshwar Goshwami- "Nakentha-gi Eshei" (sung by Nancy Khuman) and "Laklo-Laklo Chingmi Tammi" (sung by Dipu Khunung) .
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Hanjabam Chandreshor.
