Traffic arrangement made for R'Day

To ensure effective traffic control and regulation in view of the Republic Day celebration on Jan 26 and the dress rehearsal of parade on Jan 23, the Director of Transport dept has restricted plying of vehicles, other than that of the VIPs and invitees, towards north of Sing &Co Moirangkhom on NH-39; Keishampat to Khwai Bazar; Maharani Bridge, Dukanthong, Babuthong to Bazar; Khuyathong to Bazar; Khuyathong to North AOC and Sanjenthong to GPO/Nitaipat Chuthek and Keishampat Bridge from 6am-12 noon on Jan 23 and 26 .
There will be 'One Way traffic' from South to North and no vehicle is allowed to ply from North to South.
Likewise, all vehicles coming from South towards North along the Indo-Burma road should be diverted from Singjamei bridge and New Thumbuthong bridge towards Kongba side and proceed upto Palace Compound and park there.
Vehicles coming from South to North along Mayang Imphal road should be diverted from Keishampat Junction towards Krishnadaas Oil Pump to drop/pick passengers beyond former Oil Pump and will proceed towards Kwakeithel and then towards Ningthemcha Karong or Khagempalli road.
Vehicles coming from North to South along the NH-39 should be diverted from Chingmeirong Khongnang Ani Karak towards Khuman Lampak Bus Terminus and all trucks should be diverted from North AOC towards Minuthong, RDS Crossing, Kongba Road and then New Thumbuthong and Singjamei Bridge.
All buses coming from Eastern side (Yaingangpokpi, Lamlai, Porompat, Andro etc) should be diverted towards Khuman Lampak BT from RDS Crossing.
Vehicles coming from New Cachar road should be parked at Sagolband Moirang Leirak bus parking while trucks should be diverted from Tera Bazar towards Naoremthong, Uripok, Canteen road and Lamphel Sanakeithel.
All vehicles coming from Kangchup side should be parked at the Northern side of UK road, beyond the end of BT Flyover.
Vehicles coming along the Tiddim Road should be diverted from Kwakeithel Bazar towards Tera Bazar, Naoremthong, Uripok Canteen Leirak rd, Lamphel Supermarket and coming back via Watham Leirak, Thangmeiband road, Nagamapal road, Wahengbam Leikai rd, Keishampat Junction and pick up passengers from Ccpur Bus Parking, Keishampat near former Krishnadas Oil Pump.
All vehicles including jeeps, cars, scooters, motor cycles, auto-rickshaws and rickshaws etc should be parked on the road side beyond Lairembi Lampak near Keishampat Junction; in front of Session Court, UK Rd, Palace Compound (IE) and Sing & Co (Moirangkhom) points, the Transport Director statement said.
