Imphal, January 22: Strongly refuting the report that N Amujao (25) of Kongba Uchekon and S Malemnganba (24) who were arrested near Blue Bell in Paona bazar on January 19 along with demand letters are PREPAK members, Secy in charge of the Dept of Publicity and Propaganda of the outfit, Aheiba Angom has today clarified that the two are not in any way connected with the outfit.

In a statement, the outfit said that the IRB personnel and chowkidar in the Edn Dept (S) were working in cahoots with anti-social elements to earn extra money.

PREPAK further said that H Surjit alias Ebungo of Singjamei Chingamathak, who was arrested on charges of being involved in the abduction of Salam Inderjit an SO in the Edn Dept (S) is not in any way connected with the outfit.

The statement warned Surjit to come clean and clarify for stating that he is a PREPAK cadre, said the statement and added that if he refuses to do so then he would be given fitting punishment for tarnishing the image of the outfit.
