Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan: Health camps organised at Phoudel, Sora

As part of the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, health camps were organised at Phoudel Community Hall Library and Information Centre, Sora under Thoubal and Kakching districts today.
At Phoudel, the health camp was conducted under the aegis of National Health Mission Manipur and District Health Society, Thoubal and organised by Urban Primary Health Centre, Phoudel.
The health camp was graced by Dr Rakesh Meetei, District Nodal Officer, Anaemia Mukta Bharat Thoubal District.
Women who came to the health mela had facilities for cancer, sickle cell and tuberculosis screening as well as anaemia and diabetes checkup.
Other medical facilities available at the camp include blood-pressure and regular antenatal check-up (ANC) for pregnant women, immunization services for children, redressal of menstrual hygiene and nutrition.
They also had the opportunity to register for Mother & Child Protection (MCP) Card, Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card, Vandana Yojana, Sickle Cell Card and Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) Card.
Speaking in this connection, Dr Y Nokul, CMO Thoubal said that the health mela will be conducted in different health centres of the Government till October 12.The initiative focuses on women's health through comprehensive screening and medical services so as to promote family and community well-being and development, he said.
Meanwhile, the medical camp at Sora was organised by Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM), Sora.
Here, various health facilities, check-ups and screenings were available, including the facility to register for PMJAY CM Card and free medicines for the patients.
In this regard, SDA and UCS president ML Zulfiqar Alam Sheikh conveyed appreciation for the free medical camp and thanked the Chief Health Officer and Medical Officer of AAM, Sora as well as the Chief Medical Officer of Kakching district and all staff involved in making the free health camp a possibility.
To ensure better public health and tackle health concerns in a timely manner, he made an appeal to periodically conduct such medical camps in the region.
Notably, the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan was launched on September 17 and is set to conclude on October 2 .
It aims to enhance healthcare services for women and children across India.
