Imphal, January 20: At least 8 persons were rounded during a drive launched by the CADA unit of Laphupat Tera, Khordak and Nongmaikhong on January 18, said a statement with liquor as well as ingredients to brew it.

The rounded persons have been identified as Salam Tombi (35) (10 ltrs of liquor, one Ngakok, 30 Hamei), Ningthoujam Grojen (45) (five anamba tin, 20 ltrs of liquor, one ngangkok, and one konjao), Keisham Ibungo (35) (10 ltrs of liquor, one korphu, 50 hamei and one ngangkok), Salam Ayingbi (28) (nine chaknam tins, one ngangkok, five ltrs of liquor), Moirangthem Nimai (20 ltrs of liquor, one nganggkok and one chaknam chaphu), Ningthoujam Ibungo (10 ltrs of liquor, one ngangkok), Oinam Memcha (20 ltrs of liquor) and Haobijam Maniyaima (15 ltrs of liquor, three chaknam korphu, nine chaknam tin).

The liquor has been destroyed and utensils used in brewing the liquor are being kept at the office of CADA Khordak.

CADA warns : The CADA has asked three persons from Sekmaijin Awang Leikai to give in for selling and supplying liquor.

The three are Moirangthem Pinao (26), Soroikhaibam Binanta (27) and Moirangthem Gandhi (28) by January 24 to its headquarters or else they should face all the consequences.
