AMCA, MCIC celebrate Foundation Day

The 59th Foundation Day of Manipur Cultural Integration Conference (MCIC) was celebrated today at its complex in Palace Compound, Imphal.
The celebration was graced by dignitaries, including MCIC president A Brajakumar Sharma, cultural activist Mutua Bahadur and MCIC general secretary LC Ruhinikumar.
Speaking on the occasion, A Brajakumar said that promoting unity, culture and traditions is crucial for building social cohesion, fostering mutual respect and understanding, and driving economic & social development.
He asserted that educating children about the diverse cultures, traditions, and shared humanity in Manipur is crucial for promoting unity and integrity, especially given the State's history of ethnic diversity and conflict.
A Brajakumar also asserted that since its inception, MCIC has been earnestly working to promote communal harmony and social security in the State by raising awareness about the shared history and collective identity.
Later, a customised T-shirt of MCIC was released.
Moreover, All Manipur Cinematographer Association (AMCA) also celebrated its 21st Foundation Day at Hotel Imphal today.
The celebration was graced by Kh Kuleswar, chairman, Film Forum Manipur; L Radhamohon, president, AMCA; Birendra Salam, former Director, Manipur State Film & Television Institute; Sunzu Bachaspatimayum, Secretary, Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) and renowned film-maker Ningthouja Lancha.
During the event, the participants offered floral tributes to the deceased members of AMCA.
AMCA also presented simple gifts to renowned cinematographers Hijam Angom, Laimayum Kheda, Ng Ghanashyam and Moirangthem Surchand as a mark of encouragement and appreciation.
