Govt releases 'Academic Calendar 2026-27'

Imphal, January 15 2026: The Government of Manipur, through its Directorate of Education-Schools, has officially notified the Academic Calendar for the 2026-27 session, applicable to all schools across the State.

The comprehensive schedule covers classes up to Class X, as well as Class XI and XII, outlining key dates for sessions, examinations, and vacations.

The notification, issued today by the Directorate, mandates adherence by all Government, Government-aided, and duly recognized unaided private schools affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) .

Key Dates Summary

The new session for classes up to X is set to commence on January 19, 2026 .

Final Exams (Term Test-II) will be held from December 1 to 21, 2026; and results will be declared by January 5, 2027 .

The last date of admission for Class XI is '15 days after the declaration of result of HSLCE 2026' and for Class XII is 1st week of May, 2026 .

Regular classes will commence for Class XI- '16 days after the declaration of HSLCE 2026' and for Class XII from 1 st week of May, 2026 .

Pre-Final Exam for Classes XI and XII will be conducted from 2nd week of December.

2026 onwards.

HSE 2027 will be held from 2nd week of February to 3rd.week of March, 2027; and results will be declared by the last week of April, 2027 .

The BOSEM is expected to release the specific schedule for the HSLCE 2027 separately, The calendar has come into immediate effect.
