Har Ghar Tiranga: Bike rallies, Tiranga Yatras continue

In connection with the 78th Independence Day of India, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and other related activities were organised in different districts of the State today.
BISHNUPUR
The 71st Bn of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) carried out a National Flag rally from Unit HQ Komkeirap to 32 Bn CRPF HQ Loktak.
Commandant Sh Arun Kumar Meena, along with Sh Rampalat, Commandant, 71 Bn CRPF and other officers graced the occasion.
JIRIBAM
In a display of patriotic fervor, the District Administration Jiribam organized a Tiranga Yatra mini marathon as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign yesterday.
The event was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Jiribam Krishna Kumar, IAS, from the Irabot Statue point.
A Tiranga pledge was also taken by the participants during the event, which saw the participation of 25 students from different local schools.
Senior Superintendent of Police Jiribam M Pradip, IPS; Additional Deputy Commissioner Jiribam Th Manoranjan Singh, MCS and other District Level Officers (DLOs) and officials turned up to cheer on the young runners and demonstrate their support for the initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jiribam highlighted that the district administration has been actively carrying out the Har Ghar Tiranga and Nasha Mukt campaigns as part of the 78th Independence Day celebrations, which began on August 9.On the other hand, a full-dress rehearsal for the 78th Independence Day was held at the Jiribam Higher Secondary School playground with participation of 87th Bn CRPF, 7th Bn IRB, and Jiribam District Police contingents.
Similarly, the tricolour was hoisted in connection with the campaign at the residence of K Sarat Kumar, BJP Manipur Pradesh, general secretary and chairperson, Building & Construction Workers Welfare Board at his residence in Bidyanagar, Jiribam.
BJP Jiribam Mandal workers, locals and notable leaders were present at the event.
KANGPOKPI
Under the initiative of Manoj Prabhakar M (IPS), SP Kangpokpi, the District Police organised a Tiranga bike rally today which was flagged off from SP Kangpokpi Office.
100 police personnel participated in the rally with the Tricolour adorning their bikes.
THOUBAL
As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign (August 13 to 15), District Administration Thoubal organised a Tiranga Yatra led by Thoubal Deputy Commissioner Ahanthem Subhash today.
The Yatra was flagged off from Thoubal Mini Secretariat Complex and culminated at Arong Thong, Athokpam and returned to the flagging off point.
Additionally, a mass Tiranga campaign pledge was also conducted after the Yatra concluded.
Later, the participants of the Tiranga Yatra signed their names on the "Tiranga Canvas" as part of the Tiranga Signature campaign.
Today's event was graced by Rakesh Balwan, SP, Thoubal; B Lokesor Shanna, ADM, Thoubal; N Suraj, Additional SP (Law and Order); N Devendro, Additional SP, (Ops); DS Negi, Company Commander, B/216 Battalion CRPF and Anil Kumar Arambam, ZEO, Thoubal.
In the afternoon, District Police Thoubal organised a police personnel only bike rally as part of the Tiranga Yatra with Thoubal DC and SP in attendance.
It was flagged off from Khongjom Kheba Chingkhong, reached Lilong Usoipokpi and culminated at SP Thoubal Office.
