NPP works out action plan

Imphal, September 12 2025:
The National People's Party (NPP), Manipur unit, convened a meeting and adopted resolutions detailing its future strategies and actions including specific conditions for the party's involvement in Government formation in the State.
In a press statement, the NPP shared its common minimum programme for joining Government formation and emphasized three conditions viz upholding the territorial integrity of Manipur without any compromise, rejecting any form of separate administration for any part of the State, and prohibiting the stay of illegal immigrants in Manipur.
The meeting also resolved that the Government should outline a roadmap to restore peace and normalcy in the State, encompassing free movement of goods and people, rehabilitation of displaced people, establishment of a peace committee, and strengthening of the State police.
Additionally, the NPP resolved to appeal the Government of Manipur to hold elections to the local bodies as directed by the High Court of Manipur and delete the bogus, illegal immigrant and double/multiple voters from the electoral rolls to ensure free and fair electoral process in the State.
The party agreed to cooperate with the decision of the ECI to conduct SIR of voter lists all over the country including Manipur.
The NPP welcomes the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 13.The meeting was attended by executive committee members and MLAs of the party.
