Imphal, August 11 2024: Job seekers who took part in a recruitment process of MSPDCL and MSPCL held years back marched to the Chief Minister's official residence today demanding results of the recruitment process.

The job seekers after being driven back by police staged a hunger strike at Keishampat.

The candidates of the recruitment process marched to the Chief Minister's official residence before noon but they were driven back by police to the Nupi Lan Memorial Complex.

Later in the evening, the aggrieved candidates staged a hunger strike at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai community hall.

Due recruitment process was initiated in 2019 to appoint 907 employees against eight different posts in MSPDCL and MSPCL but the results of the recruitment process have not been declared till date.
