Sagolband MLA lays foundation stone

Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo Singh laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Young Pillars Union Club at Sagolband Meino Leirak on Sunday.
Speaking at the ceremony, RK Imo Singh emphasized that the club will be a G+l structure, with the ground floor designated for Meira Paibi activities and the first floor serving as the Club's Office.
He also highlighted several completed developmental projects in the constituency that are yet to be inaugurated, assuring that they will soon be officially handed over to the people of Sagolband.
He announced that the double-storey Community Hall at Meino Leirak, among others, will be inaugurated in March as the construction work was already completed sometime back.
The Community Hall at Maisnam Nongthombam Leikai is being repaired as per the wishes of the people of the locality, he added.
He also noted significant progress in addressing water scarcity, stating that the issue has been largely resolved and to further ensure 24x7 access to clean drinking water, two Water ATMs; one at Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai and another at Sagolband Meino Leirak will soon be made operational for public use.
Underscoring the ongoing developmental momentum, the MLA announced that the G+1 Sagolband United Players Accommodation Building at Sagolband Tera, adjacent to the, newly constructed Water Reservoir, will soon be inaugurated and plans are in place to construct a second storey to accommodate more aspiring players of the club.
The MLA informed that the pending payouts under the PMAY-U "Housing for All" scheme have already been processed and will soon be credited to beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
He also made a heartfelt appeal to the people of the constituency to rise above political differences, urging everyone to support and help one another, irrespective of their voting choices.
Additionally, he recalled the "MLA Ana Layengi Tengbang" initiative, through which financial aid of 20,000 has been consistently provided to patients suffering from critical illness like Cancer, Kidney & Heart Diseases for over two years, regardless of any political affiliation.
Furthermore, RK Imo reaffirmed his commitment to the holistic growth of the constituency, ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey of progress.
